WINNER OF 21 EMMY, TONY & GRAMMYS FOR PARTY TO RELEASE NEW CD FOR
CHARITY!
Last year 23,000 women were diagnosed with Ovarian
Cancer and 17,000 of them died. Why? There are no visible symptoms, there is no
pre-screening for early detection, and nobody has been out raising awareness
about it. So it is now known as, "Ovarian Cancer, The Silent
Killer."
Patricia Nevins, a local resident of St. Petersburg was diagnosed
with the disease in November of 2005. She is still in treatment for it today.
Nevins, a singer who has performed on Broadway many times has recently teamed
up with musical director Lanny Meyers who has won 21 Emmy, Tony and Grammy
Awards to dedicate a new musical CD of love songs to raise awareness for
Ovarian Cancer.
The CD called, "Saying It With My Heart", will be introduced
at a press party on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at the Renaissance
Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, 501 Fifth Avenue Northeast, Plaza, Suite D, St
Petersburg. Patricia will sing songs from the album, and Lanny Meyers will be
signing CD's. Dr. James P. LaPolla, Director of Gyn/Oncology
at Bayfront Medical Center, and a leading researcher for Ovarian Cancer at
Moffitt Cancer Center at USF, will also be speaking about new breakthroughs and
studies that can rule out ovarian cancer for women in the future.
PRESS PARTY FOR NEW CD Page 2 of 2
Please join several local officials, congressmen, personnel from
Bayfront, entertainers, and other invited guests for this important event.
Hopefully, the new CD, "Saying it With My Heart", will raise enough
money around the world for new pre-screening research for early detection so
that the silent killer will be silent no more!
